Vibrations were high last week, as many events around nimbin and the world, celebrated the winter solstice.

Some listened to bands in the bowlo, others jammed at heart Connection in town, but one of the biggest events was sonic bloom, which was packed full of colour, light and big sound at the Nimbin Bush Theatre.

The eager crowd gathered from all around the Northern rivers and beyond, dressed in vibrant colours and finery, with costumes of all shapes and sizes bringing in the theme of releasing past and planting seeds for the future.
